Mario Licio Azevedo II is an experienced trial attorney at the Adams Law Firm. He manages a diverse case load but focuses his practice on family law, criminal law, and immigration. Mario has conducted numerous trials in Knox and surrounding counties and is a zealous advocate for his clients. He has experience in both state and federal court and has successfully argued cases in the Tennessee Court of Appeals. He is an active member of the Tennessee and Knoxville Bar and enjoys an excellent reputation for professionalism amongst attorneys and judges.
Mario is a proud graduate of Farragut High School and the University of Tennessee. He obtained his law degree from Florida Coastal School of Law and has been licensed to practice in the state of Tennessee since 2012. Prior to joining the Adams Law Firm, Mario worked for the Lockridge Law Firm where he centered his practice on divorce, alimony, child custody and juvenile law. Mario and his wife, Erin Barnett of WVLT Local 8 News, reside in the Rocky Hill area and are anxiously anticipating the birth of their first child, Mario L. Azevedo III.
Mario is the son of Mario Azevedo, a Brazilian immigrant and entrepreneur in the Knoxville area, and Sharon Azevedo, a retired nurse hailing from Tellico Plains, Tennessee. Mario has three siblings: Andrea, a fashion designer in Knoxville, Marcus, a law student at Emory University in Atlanta, and Adriana, a nursing student at Belmont University in Nashville. When he isn’t working, Mario enjoys exercise, basketball, cooking, vinyl records, and UT Football. Mario is the 23 year recipient of a kidney transplant from his father and is actively involved in the East Tennessee transplant community.
